By means of advanced computer- and sensor
technology, the BGUIDE® measures the precise distance from tyre surface to the steel belt on the entire crown width - even on rotating tyres.

Only knowledge of the precise distance to the steel belt, makes it possible to optimize the buffing process, and to control the exact consumption of cushion gum.

The measurement resolution is 0.1 mm,
with +/- 0.3 mm precision (+/- 0,0 mm presision for cushion gum control), within a range of 0 - 6,5 mm from the steel belt.

Primary Target Group

• Production Managers
• R&D technicians
• Consultants
• Production Controllers
• Training Institutions

Ed Grant, General Manager Retreads,
Bulldog Remoulds Ltd:

"With the BGUIDE® we have got a high precision measuring tool, which not only saves us a lot of time defining buffing parameters for new types of casing, but just as important has also enabled us to accurately check the gauge of extruded cushing gum."

The distance is shown as a two figures digital read out:

Actual: This figure indicates – in real time – the current distance between the surface and the steel belt.

Minimum: Based on continuous processing of all measured values (30 times per second), the minimum value indicates the overall smallest distance between tyre surface and steel belt.
